Express Entry Draw History: CRS Cutoffs and Invitations

How to read a round

Each round has a type, a number of invitations and a CRS cutoff — the score of the lowest-ranked candidate who was invited. Anyone eligible for that round with a higher score was also invited. When several candidates have exactly the cutoff score, IRCC invites those whose profile was submitted earliest; that moment is published as the tie-breaking time.

Cutoffs only make sense within a round type:

• Provincial Nominee Program rounds sit around 700 or higher because a nomination adds 600 points. They tell you little about your chances without a nomination.
• Canadian Experience Class rounds reflect how many CEC candidates are waiting. In 2026 these cutoffs have stayed in a narrow band around 510–525.
• Category rounds (French, healthcare, trades and others) often have much lower cutoffs because only candidates with that skill compete.

Why the cutoff moves

A cutoff falls when IRCC invites more people than joined the pool at higher scores since the last round, and rises when fewer are invited or many high scorers have entered. The size and timing of rounds follow the yearly levels plan, so long gaps between rounds of a type usually push its next cutoff up.
