Provincial Nominee Programs by Province

Every province and territory except Nunavut runs its own nominee program; Quebec selects through its own system. Each card shows how many streams are open now and the latest published round.

Two kinds of streams

Express Entry–aligned (enhanced) streams select people who already have an Express Entry profile. A nomination adds 600 CRS points, which in practice guarantees an invitation in the next provincial nominee round.

Base streams sit outside Express Entry. The province nominates you, then you apply to IRCC on paper or online with a longer processing time.

What decides your options

Most provincial streams now need a tie to the province: a job offer from an employer there, work or study in the province, or an occupation the province is short of. Several provinces publish no points or cutoffs at all, and many paused or reshaped streams in 2025–2026 after their federal allocations were reduced. Always check the stream status on the province's page before you prepare documents.
