Alberta Express Entry Stream - Priority Sectors (Agriculture)
Agriculture occupations are one of the sectors AAIP prioritises when inviting Express Entry candidates, alongside construction, aviation and others. There is no separate agriculture stream; candidates are invited through these sector draws. People planning to buy a farm should look at the Farm Stream instead.
Who it suits
- Express Entry candidates whose primary occupation in the profile is an eligible agriculture occupation
- Candidates with CRS 300+ who qualify under CEC, FSW or FST

How candidates are selected
Sector-targeted draws from the worker EOI pool (score out of 100). Priority Sectors share one 2026 allocation of 619 (571 issued, 48 left, as of 2026-09-23). Worker EOI (WEOI) is scored out of 100 on education, work experience, language and age; AAIP also weighs non-scored data such as NOC, industry and wage, so score alone does not decide selection.
Location requirement: Intent to live and work in Alberta; no prior residence required.
Processing: No agriculture-specific processing time is published; federal PR stage applies after nomination.
