BC PNP Skills Immigration: Skilled Worker stream

BC Skilled WorkerJob offer: RequiredVerified against official sources on 2026-10-01
PNP
Limited intake The stream still takes registrations, but in 2026 the published invitation rounds are all targeted priority draws (Care, Build, Innovate: High Economic Impact, plus a temporary rural health initiative). No general Skilled Worker round appears among the 2026 rounds. The province's 2026 allocation is 6,254 after an extra 1,000 added on 2026-08-18.

BC's main worker stream for people with an indeterminate full-time BC job offer in a TEER 0-3 job and two years of skilled experience. Candidates register online and get a score; BC then invites selected registrants, now mostly through priority draws for care, construction trades and high-wage or high-impact workers. An Express Entry BC option adds federal CRS points.

Who it suits

  • Workers with a full-time, indeterminate job offer from an eligible BC employer in a TEER 0-3 occupation (some TEER 4-5 limited-term cases)
  • Construction trades, early childhood educators, French-speaking K-12 teachers, veterinary workers and other priority-occupation holders who match a current draw
  • High-wage workers (NOC 0-3) who meet the wage threshold used in Innovate draws

How candidates are selected

Registration plus scoring (SIRS): points for work experience, education and language, plus wage and BC job location. BC invites the registrants it judges most likely to meet labour-market needs, using priority draw types. Care and Build draws take occupation lists with their own minimum scores. Innovate: High Economic Impact draws run two ways in the same round: a wage-based list (invited without a score if the offer pays at least a stated hourly wage and annual salary, NOC 0-3) and a points-based list with a minimum score.

Location requirement: Job offer from a BC employer; Express Entry BC option available for people in the federal pool.

Processing: BC PNP says about 80% of Skills Immigration application decisions take 3 months from a complete application. IRCC's PR stage afterwards is 180 days for Express Entry-linked nominees and 11 months for paper applications.
