BC PNP Health Authority stream and Care: Health priority draws

BC HealthcareJob offer: RequiredVerified against official sources on 2026-10-01
PNP
Open The Health Authority stream is open. Separately, BC runs 'Care: Health' priority draws for health occupations (the Care objective covers healthcare, education, childcare and veterinary care), and a one-time Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative with registrations extended to 2026-10-07.

BC's health-sector route has two parts: the Health Authority stream for people with a full-time indeterminate offer from a BC health authority in a health occupation, and Care: Health draws that invite registrants in priority health occupations. A one-time 2026 initiative covers up to 250 rural or remote health authority cleaning and security staff.

  • Registrants in the priority health occupations (Care: Health draws)
  • Current full-time health authority security guards, light-duty cleaners and janitors in rural or remote BC with 9 consecutive months in the job (temporary initiative)

How candidates are selected

Health Authority stream applicants register and are scored like other Skills Immigration registrants; BC invites in rounds. Care: Health draws invite by minimum score within the priority health occupations. The temporary rural/remote initiative draws are points-based.

Location requirement: Employer must be a BC health authority for the Health Authority stream; rural/remote location for the temporary initiative.

Processing: BC PNP says about 80% of Skills Immigration application decisions take 3 months from a complete application. IRCC's PR stage afterwards is 180 days for Express Entry-linked nominees and 11 months for paper applications.
