NWT Nominee Program - Employer-Driven Stream, Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations category
For NWT employers nominating TEER 4 or 5 workers who have already worked full-time in the same job for them for 12 months. It has the lowest language bar (CLB 4) but requires settlement funds and a longer job-ad period.

- TEER 4/5 workers who have worked a year full-time in the same position with the nominating NWT employer
Requirements
- TeerJob must be NOC TEER 4 or 5. ↗ immigratenwt.ca
- Work experience12 months of full-time work with the nominating employer immediately before applying, with valid work authorization. ↗ immigratenwt.ca
- LanguageCLB 4 in English or French across all four abilities (test valid 2 years). ↗ immigratenwt.ca
- Job offerPermanent, non-seasonal, full-time (30+ hours/week) at or above NWT median wage; job advertised 30 consecutive days. ↗ immigratenwt.ca
- Settlement fundsSettlement funds of $10,000 CAD for the applicant plus $2,000 per dependent. ↗ immigratenwt.ca
How candidates are selected
Points-based EOI draws. 2026 intake: the Employer-Driven Stream and Francophone Stream opened 2026-03-09; Employer-Driven EOI draws were set for 2026-03-25 (held), 2026-06-25, an added 2026-08-26 and 2026-09-25 (EOI deadlines 3 days before; 2026-09-22 for the last). EOI profiles are accepted continuously and stay on file up to 12 months.
Location requirement: Must already be working for the nominating NWT employer for 12 months.
